lyrics
Green weed, blue speed, nosebleeds and booze
Cold beer, old gear, it's what we use
Crushed pills, brown swill, we've got that too
Now look inside of your head unscrewed
A stinging odor from smoke stained hands
On a quest to drain the life from all of Oakland's bands
The time has come and now your eyes glow red
Coursing through your veins and ripping through your head
Glowing brain
Your vision's blurred and heart rate increased
Tonight's the night you meet the beast
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
An energetic and sharply assembled first full-length from Oakland post-punk group Marbled Eye hits all the right notes. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 14, 2018
